SHORT STAY UNIT
Wathena Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center has taken nine semi-private rooms and converted them to spacious private rooms for our newly remodeled Short Stay Unit. The Short Stay Unit is designed for those that qualify under Medicare Part A or most Managed Care Private Insurances to get additional therapy following a hospital stay as part of their transition back to home.
The Short Stay Unit has been constructed with convenience and privacy in mind. The rooms contain all new furniture, including a mounted television. The rooms are also equipped with a bathroom and laboratory for added privacy. We also accommodate patients with elective room service and Wi-Fi during your stay.
The wing has its own entrance from the outside, as well a new partition on the inside, giving the patient and visitors added choice for interaction with the long-term care community. Visitors also won’t have to worry about parking as spaces are designated for those planning to see Short Stay patients.
Whether you are recovering from orthopedic surgery, needing therapy following a COPD or Chronic Heart Failure episode, recovering from a stroke, needing wound care, or needing therapy after a car accident the Short Stay Unit is ready to accommodate several types of care. Our Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy teams are ready to serve you in your journey back home.
